Apple Winter Crumble with Caramel Sauce

INGREDIENTS

For the base:
2 apples, sliced
2 plums/pear or any other seasonal fruit, sliced
1 small piece fresh ginger, diced
1 tsp cinnamon
drizzle maple syrup
50 ml water/apple juice
For the crumble:
100 g almond flour
50 g walnuts/sunflower seeds, chopped
50 g flaxseeds
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp coconut oil
50 g coconut sugar/maple syrup
For the caramel sauce:
45 g coconut oil
30 g coconut sugar
80 g peanut butter
100 g maple syrup
Pinch of salt
Pinch of vanilla

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180°C. For the base, cut the fruits into slices and place them into a bowl. Add the cinnamon, apple juice/water and maple syrup and mix. Distribute the fruits evenly into a baking dish or small individual dishes.

For the crumble, place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix. Use your hands to distribute evenly on the base. Bake for about 15 minutes.

In the meantime, make the caramel sauce. Place all the ingredients into a small pan and carefully heat it up. Mix with a whisk until you have a thick consistency. Serve the crumble warm or cold with the caramel sauce and if you want also with coconut yogurt or coconut sorbet.
