I can’t wait to start preparing the most beautiful picnics and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in the park with my friends. Having a picnic on a warm day is one of my favourite things to do. I just think there is nothing better then spending the day outside with great people and delicious food. If you have kids, I think it’s especially such a fun idea as they can run around all day and play. I always try to mix it up and do different things on the weekend to really relax and shut down any work thoughts. The weekend is time to recover and get inspired.
Some people might think that picnics are a lot of work but I will show you that with easy recipes it really isn’t. The easiest way is for everybody to just bring something and you will have a great variety of food. Don’t forget to bring a large blanket for everybody to sit!
Let’s talk food!
I think, the best to bring to a picnic are foods that easy to transport such as salads, sandwiches, muffins, cookies and fruits. The less you need to cut the better and easier the whole experience!
One of my favourite dishes to make are my summer rolls. They are easy to eat and taste incredible!
Also, all the salads from my new book, Happy Healthy Food are perfect to transport and so so amazing.
For snacks, bring my popcorn bars from my book or some cantuccini, I promise everybody will love them!
